Holiday subsidies for children

CHILDREN OF UW EMPLOYEES/PENSIONERS/DISABILITY PENSIONERS
(including children of deceased UW employees/pensioners/disability pensioners)

Understood as an entitled person’s own child, whether from birth, adopted or under parental guardianship in a foster family:

  1. up to the age of 15;
  2. by the end of the year in which the child reaches the age of 25 if he/she continues his/her education at school, at a full-time first-cycle, second-cycle or long-cycle studies upon presentation of a certificate proving the fact of studying at school or university;
  3. a child with a disability, who, due to his/her illness, requires permanent or long-term care and assistance of another person due to significantly reduced ability to lead an independent life – upon presentation of a certificate from an institution authorised to declare the degree of disability – regardless of age.

Eligible children of UW employees and pensioners/disability pensioners can:

  1. Spend holiday at University of Warsaw facilities:
  • “Bajka” Holiday Home in Łukęcin
  • “Szeligówka” Holiday Home in Kościelisko

APPLICATIONS:

As of 6 March 2023, employees (including working pensioners and disability pensioners) can apply to spend a holiday at the listed facilities only by completing an online form. For this purpose, there was launched an application, which is available at:  DocSense Document Management System – will be opened in a new window

  1. Benefit from a subsidy for summer, winter and other camp stays booked with other institutions

Pursuant to the Ordinance No. 291 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw of 21 December 2020, the basis for subsidising summer, winter and other camp stays booked with other institutions authorised to organise recreational activities for children in 2024 amounts to PLN 1,996.00/gross.

In order for the holiday to be subsidised, it should last minimum of 7 days.

The original invoice/receipt issued by the entity authorised to organise the recreational activities should be attached to the subsidy application. The invoice/receipt issued in the name of the applicant should also include:

  • the names and surnames of the persons benefiting from the holiday;
  • the unit price;
  • the dates of stay.

APPLICATIONS:

Subsidy applications for a privately arranged holiday for UW employees and their children up to the age of 15 can be submitted electronically. For this purpose, there was launched an application, which is available at: DocSense Document Management System – will be opened in a new window
