Swimming pool and indoor climbing wall passes

Employees/pensioners/disability pensioners of the University of Warsaw are entitled to obtain a pass financed from the University Social Benefits Fund once per semester, allowing them to use the swimming pool or the indoor climbing wall. Passes can be collected from the Office for Personnel Social Benefits [pl. BSSOC] between 10:00 and 14:00.

Swimming pool classes and indoor climbing wall classes cannot be subsidised in the same semester. The cost of the pass is PLN 160 gross.

Please be informed that an advance income tax payment on the subsidy mentioned above will be deducted from the applicant’s remuneration should it be another benefit received by the applicant from the University Social Benefits Fund in the given year and the amount of benefits received so far exceeds PLN 1,000 gross for UW employees/PLN 4,500 gross for UW pensioners.

 

SWIMMING POOL

Rules for the use of the swimming pool at the University of Warsaw Sports Centre for UW employees and pensioners in the 2024/2025 academic year

(winter semester)

Employees and pensioners are entitled to obtain a pass financed from the University Social Benefits Fund (as a benefit in kind) during the summer term, allowing them to use the swimming pool.

Passes can be collected from the Office for Personnel Social Benefits starting from 06.09.2024 between 10:00 and 14:00 in the room no. 11.

The pass is valid from 09.09.2024 to 28.02.2025 and entitles its holder to 20 entries to the swimming pool with a swimming duration of 45 minutes.

Entrance to the swimming pool is only possible on the hour or at 30 minutes past the hour only.

On Saturdays and Sundays, employees can enjoy activities together with their children.

The swimming pool at the Sports Centre located at 2a Banacha Street is available for the use of the UW employees and pensioners during hours free from physical education classes and outside the program of trainings and sports competitions of the Academic Sports Association of the University of Warsaw [pl. AZS UW].

INDOOR CLIMBING WALL

Indoor climbing wall passes can be collected from the Office for Personnel Social Benefits [pl. BSSOC] from 06.09.2024 between 10:00 and 14:00.

The pass is valid from 10.09.2024 to 28.02.2025 and entitles its holder to 16 sessions at the indoor climbing wall. Climbing wall classes are held under the guidance of an instructor on specific dates. The facility is fully adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Indoor climbing wall can be used on:

Tuesdays between 19:00 and 21:30

Thursdays between 19:00 and 21:30
