1.   GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Detailed rules for applying for loans are set out in Chapter VIII – Loans for housing purposes, [§ 22 – § 35 of the University Social Benefits Fund Rules and Regulations]
  • Required / supporting documents [appendix]
  • Loan applications are accepted exclusively in paper form at the premises of the Office for Personnel Social Benefits. (Monday–Friday, 8:00 – 16:00).
  • Fridays are designated as internal working days.

 

2. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE IT?

2.1   UW EMPLOYEES/ PENSIONERS/ DISABILITY PENSIONERS

The above-mentioned persons who have permanent residence registered in the territory of the Republic of Poland may apply for a loans for housing purposes:

  • the purchase of a first apartment/house or supplementation of the contribution for the purchase of an apartment or house in a housing cooperative or new build development (referring to § 29 of the University Social Benefits Fund Rules and Regulations);
  • the purchase of an apartment or house on the primary or secondary market (referring to § 22 of the University Social Benefits Fund Rules and Regulations);
  • building or extension of an apartment or house constituting a separate property;
  • the supplement of a contribution to purchase an apartment in a housing cooperative or new build development;
  • renovation, modernisation or finishing of an apartment or house;
  • the conversion of the right to cooperative premises or the buyout of occupied premises previously owned by the municipality or an employment establishment.

2.2  DOCTORAL STUSENTS (enrolled in UW doctoral schools and residing in the University of Warsaw Academic Staff Hall of Residence [pl. DPN])

The above-mentioned persons may apply for a loan in the following cases:

  • renovation of a housing unit in the UW Academic Staff Hall of Residence [pl. DPN].

Repayable housing assistance is granted primarily to the above-mentioned persons due to the low household income per family member, who live in difficult housing conditions and to large families and single parents.

In order to conclude the loan agreement, it is necessary for an applicant to present two guarantors, who are UW employees working full-time or for a period not shorter than the loan repayment period. Agreements are signed at the Office for Personnel Social Benefits.
